What does Good Gut Eats do?

It is three things in one app: a curated library of whole-food recipes built for gut health, an easy food log for what you eat, and a symptom tracker (Bristol Scale, bloating, energy, pain) that builds your personal pattern on a daily timeline. Over time the app surfaces what your gut actually responds to.

Is it free?

Yes, free for the first month after launch. After that, a Pro plan unlocks variant recipes, full micro nutrient breakdowns, and Apple Health sync (when shipped). Recipe browse, voice logging, basic food and symptom tracking stay free forever.

Do I need to follow a specific diet to use it?

No. The app works for anyone optimizing gut health, including people with IBS, people on a low-FODMAP plan, people exploring fermented foods, or people who simply want cleaner eating. You bring the goal, the app brings the data.

Is it a medical device or a diagnostic tool?

No. Good Gut Eats is a general wellness app for healthy lifestyle tracking. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a registered dietitian or physician for medical questions.

Where is my data stored?

All account and log data is stored in Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified database hosted on AWS US-East. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or trackers. Full detail lives in the privacy policy.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account. A two-step confirmation removes all your personal data, food logs, symptom logs, and authentication tokens within 24 hours.

Will my food logs sync with Apple Health?

Apple Health integration is on the V1.x roadmap. It is not in V1 at launch. When it ships you will be able to opt in inside the app.

What AI features does the app use?

Voice-log and photo-parse features are opt-in only and off by default. When you turn them on, the app sends the audio or image to Google Gemini for parsing. You can revoke consent at any time inside Profile.
